Jamie Gratton Aquarius

From his work at CALC to his current role as the Recovery Network Coordinator for Aquarius Jamie has worked with several groups of vulnerable individuals. He is passionate about social change and tackling the stigma that society shows towards those individuals that have found themselves social excluded from their communities, family's and society in general.

Recovery Network Coordinator - Workshop Lead Addiction, Recovery & Social Justice

Afrah Al-Yufrusi

Afrah is an Art Psychotherapist in the NHS working with children and families. Afrah will co-deliver the workshop together with Kate Gard. 

To be heard, to be seen and belonging are primary human needs. A lot of people don't feel listened to. We'll talk about empathic listening and do some if there is enough space. If there's interest, Kate will meet with some of us regularly, listening to each other, and perhaps offering listening more widely in association with the second International Day of Listening on Saturday 21st October.

The Listening Project - Workshop Working Across Difference

Kate Gard

Kate is a retired social worker and play therapist with an established personal practice of empathy and compassion.  Kate will co-deliver the workshop together with Afrah Al-Yufrusi.

Rachael Livingston, Impact Derby​

Rachael is the founder of Impact Derby, a voluntary organisation that helps young people reach their full potential.Rachael is a member of the IAG  which is an independent advisory  group that acts as critical friend to Derbyshire Constabulary. She is also part of the Stop and Search steering group and scrutiny panel. Rachael has successfully completed her level 3 youth work qualifications as well as a level 3 teaching certificate.
